Privacy Policy
Dockline is developed and operated by Trotta Consulting Ltd (“Dockline”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This policy explains what information Dockline processes, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we process
Account information: your name, email address, user identifier and account metadata. Passwords are processed by Supabase Auth and are not visible to us in plain text.
Tour and operational information: tour names, artist or production names, venues, show dates, truck numbers, departments, contents, vehicle registrations, driver details, notes, queue positions, status updates, loading-session times and activity history that you or authorised tour members enter.
Camera access: Dockline can use your device camera to scan truck QR codes. Camera frames are used for scanning and are not intentionally recorded or uploaded by Dockline.
Technical information: basic connectivity state and technical information necessary to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service. Dockline does not currently include advertising or third-party behavioural analytics.
2. How we use information
- Authenticate users and protect accounts.
- Create and synchronise tours, shows, trucks and live dock queues.
- Provide role-based access and real-time operational updates.
- Record session timings and activity requested by users.
- Provide support, prevent misuse and maintain service reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms where necessary.
3. Lawful basis
Where applicable data-protection law requires a lawful basis, we process information to provide the service you request, to pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing Dockline, with consent where required, and to comply with legal obligations.
4. Information entered about other people
Tour records may contain information about drivers, crew members or other people. The user or organisation entering that information is responsible for having an appropriate reason and authority to do so and for keeping it accurate and proportionate.
5. Service providers and sharing
Dockline uses Supabase for authentication, database storage and real-time synchronisation. Information may be processed by this provider only as needed to deliver the service. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for third-party behavioural advertising.
We may disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business reorganisation subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. Storage, security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including authenticated access and database access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Service providers may process information outside your country; where required, appropriate safeguards will be used.
7. Retention and account deletion
Account and operational information is retained while needed to provide Dockline or meet legitimate legal and security requirements. You can delete your account in Dockline under Settings → Delete account, or request deletion through our account-deletion page.
Deleting an account removes its profile and personal references. A solo tour created by that user and its dependent records are deleted. If other members share a tour, ownership is transferred and shared operational records may remain, with references to the deleted user removed or anonymised. Temporary infrastructure backups may persist until they expire under the service provider’s backup cycle.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal information, and to request a portable copy. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise these rights.
9. Children
Dockline is a professional operational tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly invite children to create accounts or provide personal information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Dockline changes. The current version and its revision date will remain available on this page.
